You have many lakes to choose from and 100's of miles of
waterways to find your days catch.
Kabetogama, Namakan,
Sand Point and Crane lakes are the most accessible and the
beautiful
Ash
River flows into Kabetogama and Namakan.
You can portage into Rainy Lake at Kettle Falls and access
another huge expanse of water! The Ash River and Sullivan
Bay
are well known or excellent walleye, crappie and smallmouth
fishing!

THERE ARE NO MOTOR RESTRICTIONS for boaters who can
travel freely along the remote, un-crowded
50-mile-long system of lakes. Anglers fishing Voyageurs
National Park will find walleye, northern pike,
smallmouth bass, sturgeon and crappie. For the more
adventurous, try one of VNP's
interior lakes and fish for lake trout, northern pike,
largemouth bass, crappie and muskie.
2010 MN DNR FISHING REGULATIONS
To fish
the Ontario waters of Namakan, Sand Point, Rainy Lake and
other Ontario lakes, you will need to obtain a
Remote Access Border Crossing permit to enter these
waters. You will need an
Ontario Non-Resident Fishing License
which is obtainable at most ports of entry. Additionally,
you will need to purchase Canadian bait if you fish with
live bait.
